Metalock Brasil obtained SBM certification (Shore Based Maintenance) from the manufacturer MCMurdo, and is entitled, according to the MSC/Circ.1039 Standards for the International Convention for the Safety of Human Life at Sea (SOLAS), to perform installation, commissioning and maintenance of EPIRB’s (Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacons) manufactured by MCMurdo.
In order to be in full compliance and meet the requirements for SBM certification by MCMurdo, Metalock Brasil attended to MCMurdo’s numerous requirements, which included participation in online training and investment in laboratory test equipment.
